What can be hotter than
designer swimwear in the world of fashion? Only swimsuits from
Victoria’s Secret on the beautiful angels, the synonyms of female perfection. The highly anticipated
2014 Victoria’s Secret Swim catalog has been released, and it’s not surprising that the South African super angel
Candice Swanepoel landed the cover. Starring alongside models
Behati Prinsloo, Magdalena Frackowiak, Martha Hunt, Lily Aldridge and
Alessandra Ambrosio, she soaked up the sun of St. Tropez in steamy Victoria’s Secret pieces.
Cutting Edge And Flattering = Unbeatable!
The 2014 VS collection includes a variety of cutting edge swimwear styles in line with the ones featured earlier at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami setting the trends for beach fashion in summer 2014. For example,
retro two piece swimsuits with high waist echoing
Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly
and good old romantic Hollywood movies are very flattering for many
body types and come in multiple colors, including the slimming black.
It’s an excellent opportunity to experiment with new looks in summer
2014.
Pushing Fashion to The Maximum
Daring and provocative
monokinis were not left behind by Victoria’s Secret. While for some
women a monokini is a safe choice thanks to abundant skin coverage, for
others it’s an open invitation to push fashion to the maximum. The key
is in the design. Lines, cuts, curves, twists… Victoria’s Secret
certainly know how to create a fashion forward monokini. Many of the
monokinis on the market today are designed more for show than for
swimming, and there is nothing wrong with it! If you have a body like
Candice, it would be a sin not to show it off: get a fashion forward
monokini from VS and hit every beach and pool party to make a style
statement!
Spicing Up The Usual
Two-piece swimsuits by Victoria’s Secret
are my personal favorites. Not because they are nearly traditional by
now, but because VS added spice to the 2014 designs. I absolutely love
that these otherwise simple pieces feature silver imprint, animal prints
and beautiful decorative elements that absolutely raise the bar for the
2014 beach fashion.
Here is what Victoria’s Secret themselves have to say about their highly
anticipated swimwear collection (according to the official press
release): “The hot trends seen in the VS 2014 swimwear collection
include cutout and lace-up details, hardware accents, animal prints, and
black and white swimsuits. New swim silhouettes include the high-waist,
flounce styles and long line bikini tops. Customers can also create
their perfect suit by mixing and matching an array of colors, prints,
styles and sizes to show off their individual personalities and shapes.”
The swimwear catalogue was shot by fashion photographer
Russell James in Saint-Tropez, France.
